Site visit

Ah, autumn in Penneshaw. A beautiful time for all eight AMKI directors and architects Kerstin Thompson and Leo Showell (of Kerstin Thompson Architects) to visit the site for the Art Museum of Kangaroo Island.

After an thorough discussion revisiting the values and vision for AMKI, as well as the previous (2020) functional brief for the building, the Board agreed to commission KTA to begin the concept design. Exciting times.

In this video, Kerstin talks with AMKI chair Rob Brookman (though the wind!) about the qualities of the site and its location at Penneshaw:

While you’re waiting for AMKI to open, enjoy the Kangaroo Island Sculpture Trail at beautiful Penneshaw
